This 2020 Caterpillar 299D3 XE compact track loader is powered by a 3.8L, 4-cylinder Caterpillar C3.8 DIT diesel engine delivering 110 HP and 284 lb-ft of torque. It has a hydrostatic transmission, liquid-cooled engine, and a 31.7-gallon fuel capacity. With a rated operating capacity of 3,560 lbs and a tipping load of 10,180 lbs, it is equipped for demanding construction, land clearing, and forestry applications.
The machine comes equipped with an enclosed ROPS and FOPS cab featuring air conditioning, heat, LED work lights, and joystick controls for loader and attachment operation. Its high-flow XHP hydraulic system delivers 40–41 GPM at 4,061 psi. Additional features include auxiliary hydraulics, a hydraulic quick-attach system, and a hydraulic thumb for versatile attachment use.
Included attachments consist of a Caterpillar HM418C mulching head with a 72-inch cutting width, 84-inch overall width, 3,316-lb weight, dual-speed rotor motor, and heavy-duty carbide-tipped teeth, capable of cutting material up to 8 inches in diameter. It also comes with a 72-inch toothed bucket featuring nine heavy-duty bolt-on teeth and high-strength steel construction for excavation, trenching, and material handling.
